Do’s, Don’ts & Tips For Planning A Bachelor / Bachelorette Party In Greece

Mar 8, 2019 | BLOG

At MILI LO we know how much time and effort goes into planning a really great party and we’ve put together some helpful tips, as well as some do’s and don’ts to get you ready to plan your upcoming bachelor or bachelorette party in Greece!

Who Should Host Your Bachelor or Bachelorette Party?

Traditionally the best man and groomsmen, or maid of honor and bridesmaids have the honor of planning and hosting a bachelor/bachelorette party. It really isn’t the right idea for a groom or bride to be hosting their own party.

Who Pays For the Bachelor or Bachelorette Party?

The party is paid for by the people attending; everyone typically contributes to the expenses incurred at the party. We highly recommend that the party planners set out a budget ahead of time – it’ll really make the planning that much more fun and avoid arguments or post-party comments about how much was really spent on one day of fun.

Who Should Be Invited to the Party?

You can invite anyone you like, but usually a bachelor or bachelorette party is thrown for really close friends and family of the groom or bride. If you’re having a small wedding, it may be a nice opportunity to invite people who you were not able to invite, or others who are not able to attend the wedding. General rule of thumb, invite the people that will make this event happy and memorable because you will truly remember it forever!

When is the Best Time to Host a Bachelor or Bachelorette Party in Greece?

A bachelor party is usually held relatively close to the wedding date and in many cases 1-3 weeks before the wedding. However, if you’re having a destination bachelor or bachelorette party then the date will play a really big role in planning the event. If the wedding is in Greece too, then arranging the party ahead of the wedding day is perfect! If you’re planning a destination bachelor / bachelorette party in Greece, then you may want to consider planning it around a holiday weekend so that you have additional vacation days to take off. Of course, summertime (mid May to mid September) in Greece is especially popular and a great time for a fun beach party!

How Far in Advance is it Best to Start Planning?

The sooner the better. Ideally 6 months ahead of the bachelor or bachelorette event as popular venues are booked out quickly, especially during the summer in Greece. At the very latest, 2 -3 months prior to the event.

Here Are Some Do’s & Don’ts That You Should Definitely Keep in Mind:

Do make sure the party planners know their responsibilities for the event.
Don’t have your bachelor party the night before your wedding – in case you’re thinking of planning your wedding on the same trip!
Do pick a location that fits with the activities and experience you want to have.
Don’t invite too many people.
