A Double Proposal in Crete: Two Proposals – One Unforgettable Story

​Some love stories come with an unexpected twist. Daniella was secretly planning a proposal to her favourite person, Gianna, while, at the very same time, Gianna was planning her own proposal to Daniella. Both were travelling from the US and both had chosen Greece as the destination for this special moment, with Crete being the one place they had in mind.

Months in advance, each woman began planning her proposal with MILI LO and our sister brand, Wedding Proposals in Greece. Neither knew that the same planners were working behind both proposals, and we carefully kept the secret until the day they discovered it for themselves.

For Daniella’s proposal, the vision was elegant, elevated and timeless, yet simple, earthy and authentic. She had her heart set on a wine-tasting experience in a hidden corner of Crete, somewhere few people know about, with breathtaking views, a mesmerising sunset and an intimate cliffside balcony reserved exclusively for the two of them.

We designed the proposal around the natural beauty of the location, with beautiful floral arrangements complementing the tiny venue and its surroundings. When the girls arrived, Gianna was completely overwhelmed by the setting, the florals and the surprise. There were happy tears, laughter and an abundance of emotion as Daniella finally asked the question.

Their photographer and content creator captured every detail as the proposal unfolded, from the intimate moments between the couple to the beautiful setting itself. After celebrating with bubbly, they enjoyed an engagement photoshoot during golden hour, surrounded by the spectacular Cretan landscape.

As the sun set, their multi-course wine-tasting experience began. It was everything Daniella had envisioned and more. An intimate, once-in-a-lifetime experience that perfectly reflected the beauty and authenticity she wanted for their special moment.

Being part of this celebration was incredibly meaningful for us, especially knowing that it was only one half of their story. We were honoured to create not one, but two proposals for the same couple, and we would love to share Gianna’s proposal to Daniella which took place two days later.
