Ten Years of MILI LO: A Journey into Refined Destination Events in Greece

This year marks ten years of MILI LO, a brand dedicated to creating bespoke destination celebrations in Greece for discerning clients. As the founder and lead event planner, I often reflect on this journey, and I realize it has always been about more than milestones – it has been about crafting experiences where every detail matters and each moment feels timeless.

My journey began in Montreux, Switzerland, at 19. I wasn’t building a business or planning a career; I was simply exploring, searching for what inspired me. Yet, without realizing it, I had stepped into a world that would quietly shape how I see hospitality, design, and human connection.

There was something dreamlike about it – not only the setting itself, but the experience of being immersed in a space where refined protocol and attention to detail transformed every moment. From learning how to set a table with care to understanding how subtle touches in different cultures create lasting impressions, I began to see hospitality in a completely new way. It wasn’t just about aesthetics – it was about how an experience makes people feel seen, valued, and connected.

Growing up in an environment of home entertaining, I had always noticed the small things: the mood of a space, the emotions of the people within it, the whimsical yet artful details that make a moment exceptional. Etiquette gave that sensitivity a framework, allowing me to transform instinct into something polished, tailored, and uniquely refined. This approach – putting ourselves in our clients’ shoes – became the foundation of MILI LO.

Years later, that early inspiration evolved into MILI LO, a brand devoted to crafting impactful, bespoke moments. From luxury proposals to intimate weddings, every experience we design is guided by a personalized approach, ensuring it feels elevated, artful, and timeless.

As the brand grew, so did I. Today, MILI LO continues to elevate events with a signature touch, blending elegance, emotion, and intentional design. Now, ten years on, I find myself returning to my school in Switzerland – not to seek inspiration, but to honor the place that quietly shaped the mindset behind MILI LO. Montreux may not have been the official beginning of the brand, but it was the origin of the philosophy that guides everything we do.

And in many ways, it still feels like I’m just getting started.
