A Beach Picnic Wedding Proposal In Athens

Pedro Rodrigues (Pepe) who happened to be the Portuguese football player that had recently started playing for the Olympiakos team, dropped us an email enquiring about his upcoming wedding proposal on the coast of Athens – specifically Glyfada beach. This beach had sentimental value to the player and his girlfriend, so we did our utmost to reach his expectations. Initially, the idea was to have a paragliding plane fly past the beach asking his girl Laudanie to marry him. Unfortunately, it was forbidden to fly over the beach so we got our creative juices flowing to come up with a more creative idea for Pedro.

We proceeded with the popular idea of photo shooting the couple walking along the sandy beach. This way they would both be well dressed and the girl would not suspect the slightest of what was about to happen! Of course, we like a little excitement and so we thought of a few unordinary ideas for the proposal moment. Various thoughts came to mind and Pedro finally decided to go for the unique idea of having a caricaturist sketching the couple at different moments during the photoshoot session and most importantly seizing the big moment of the wedding proposal. This way, Pedro could present the caricature sketch with the engagement ring to Laudanie as he knelt down to ask the big question.

The proposal was arranged right before sunset so the incredible golden hues were shining throughout the proposal. Laudanie was swept off her feet with this special wedding proposal. The two celebrated with a romantic picnic set up on the beach with the magnificent view of the sea and sun setting before them. Soon after, Laudanie’s parents also joined in. They popped some champagne, had a few bites from their custom designed ‘’She Said Yes’’ cupcakes and sat amongst the red roses Pedro had specifically requested. The most important person in the world obviously joined in and this was their one-month baby daughter!

The day ended beautifully and Pepe could not have felt more fulfilled and happier! It was our pleasure to have been a part of this special event and we wish both of them a loving future together!
