A 30th Birthday Party In Athens

A week before her 30^th birthday, Noelle from Switzerland stumbled across our website just as she had given up hope in decorating her destination party.  With huge enthusiasm we agreed to go ahead with her last-minute décor request as we loved the challenge and got so excited with the whole concept she specifically asked for – balloons, balloons, balloons and to ‘pimp the place’. Without further ado, we started planning and designing all the décor aspect!

We visited the venue – a rooftop terrace with incredible views of the Acropolis and Lykavitos hill – we proposed a few ideas, suggested a color palette that would also blend in with the Gypsy Style venue décor and that would be suitable to her request – ‘’girly but with no florals and nothing wedding-y’’.

Immediately, we thought of transforming the space with various perspectives, levels and dimension, from hanging drapes and balloons in the centre to two impressive focal points on the sides.

What we did was, come up with a girly yet sophisticated, elegant and a trendy color scheme. We went for coral, salmon and peach hues. We were so lucky to have found soft flowy fabrics to suit the theme and style and balloons of our choice in this short time frame. We selected various textured and sized balloons, in five different shades to create an ombre effect at the two focal points. The two focal points consisted of a large illuminated 30 and a photo and cake backdrop. Both focal points were pouring out with an ombre balloon garland of white, champagne, blush, rose gold and coral.

The venue transformed into something beautiful and Noelle was in awe when she arrived to her party. She absolutely loved everything and was astounded by the result. The party started, music was playing, drinks were coming out, guests were mingling, getting photographed and having a blast on the rooftop in the centre of the city.

When it was time to cut her cake at the wonderful backdrop set up, one more wow factor was looming and those were fountain fireworks which would go off and sparkle, the moment she blew out her 30^th candles! It was a perfect touch to end her beautiful birthday party.

Everyone had a fantastic time and Noelle couldn’t have had a better celebration on a spectacular exclusive terrace, with friends from around the world, lots of dancing and creating many happy memories!
