An Elegant Harlequin Dinner & Dance in Athens

For their annual charity event, Make-A-Wish Greece and the Salvation Army Greece hosted carnival dinner and dance at a restaurant in the northern suburbs of Athens, and they asked Mili-Lo to assist with designing and planning their special event.

After visiting the restaurant space to understand the layout of the venue, we were inspired to create a Harlequin masque-themed party. The restaurant’s champagne gold and black wallpaper, tall ceilings, and sparkling chandeliers immediately created an atmosphere of glamour, grandness and sophistication. To add our own special touch and give the room some extra flair, we created tall black feathered masks for the table centerpieces and added black candles in glass vases to warm the lighting.

The tables were decorated with gold fabric runners and lots of gold streamers. Each place setting was created as a memento for each guest and had customized placemats and cards, as well as stylish masks for the ladies and gold hand-painted masks for the gents. All of the décor was perfectly set – giving this special event in Athens a wonderfully elegant feel. Everyone was in high spirits throughout the evening and we greatly appreciated the opportunity to contribute to such a great cause.
